Antisocial lighting?

Hard to believe I know, but it seems to be true — according to the sign in a Morrison’s Toilet.

It says:

The lights in this toilet

have been altered to deter

antisocial behaviour.

It may take a few minutes

for your eyes to adjust.

Can you believe this? Is it possible? Does it work? Is is safe? Is it legal? Is it moral? Things are definitely getting worse when this sort of thing can be allowed to occur without debate. I think the public ought to be informed that they may be subjected to conditions and forms of behavioural control.

From what I’ve heard, the lights in these toilets, assuming they are like others in the city centre are specifically designed to make it difficult to see the blue outline of your veins, thus making it harder for junkies to inject themselves.

Things are definitely getting worse when places feel the need to do this, but on the other hand, I don’t want to see someone shooting up when Im going to the loo!

I admit that I have never seen anyone shooting up anywhere, but I would think it more likely in a night club or even a pub but not a supermarket surely! Things ARE indeed getting worse!
